Dollar Tree Farmhouse Crate Planter

Yesterday, while I was out hunting down new crafting supplies, I came across this crate at Dollar Tree! I had to grab it! While I had last been at Hobby Lobby I had found some stamps and a cutout I knew would go perfect with this crate! Throw in the greenery and you have an amazing planter! This was just to special a project to pass up, and you will not be disappointed when you follow along with this Dollar Tree Farmhouse Crate Planter!

Supplies:

Dollar Tree Crate
Farm Animal Stamps- Hobby Lobby
Gather Cutout – Hobby Lobby
Greenery – Hobby Lobby
Twine
White and Black Paint
Permanent Ink Pad

First, I painted the crate with the white paint.

Second, I used the farm animal stamps and the permanent ink pad and stamped an animal onto each of the slat ends.

Third, I cut two large lengths of twine, and wrapped one around each of the crate handles, gluing as I went.

Fourth, I took the gather cutout and painted it with the black paint.

Fifth, I glued the gather cutout to the center slat on the crate.

Finally, I placed the greenery inside the crate, making sure to fill it completely.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I think it came out amazing! The white paint on the crate with the black stamped animals and gather cutout really pop with the green of the greenery! This project couldn’t have turned out any better, I absolutely love it! I’m fighting with myself trying to decide if I want to keep it here at home of take it to my craft booth, I think I’ll decide later! I just like it way to much and I’m not sure I want to let it go! What do you think, will you be giving this Dollar Tree Farmhouse Crate Planter a try too?
