Halloween Crow Mixed Media Hanger
Halloween is such a fun time to craft for! There are so many possible things that could be made to go with the spooky holiday! When I was thinking of new idea to make this year, I decided a crow was the perfect focal point of my next project, and then I went hunting at Hobby Lobby for the perfect scrapbook paper! I’m so excited to share this Halloween Crow Mixed Media Hanger with you and I hope you decide you love it as much as I do and give one a go too!

Supplies:
Crow Pattern- Google
Scrap Wood
Scrapbook Papers – Hobby Lobby Book
Stamp
Fabric Strips
Dollar Tree Chipboard Clock
Button
Raffia
Silver Furniture Tacks
Ribbon
Black Wire
Black and White Paint

First, I painted the face of the scrap wood with the White paint, and then painted the outer edge with the Black paint.

Second, I took my stamp and stamped most of the right hand side of the wood with my chosen design.

Third, I unevenly ripped my chosen scrapbook paper and then used Mod Podge to secure it to the left hand side of the wood. I then trimmed off any excess hanging over the edges.

Fourth, I cut out the crow I found on google, and then traced it onto another piece of the scrapbook paper. I then cut it out and used Mod Podge to secure him onto the wood.

Fifth, I cut a length of ribbon to fit across the entire bottom of the wooden hanger.

Sixth, I cut another piece of a smaller ribbon and secured that to the center of the first one.

Seventh, I cut a large length of the Black wire and twisted it up a bit. I then fed it through each of the holes at the top of the hanger, twisted at the ends to secure them.

Eighth, I took the fabric strips, and some raffia, all about the same lengths. I secured them in the middle by tying another small piece of fabric around them, creating a bow. Finally, I glued them to the top center of the hanger.

Ninth, I glued the button to the center of the bow.

Tenth, I glued the Dollar Tree Chipboard clock to the bottom left corner.

Finally, I took the furniture tacks and glued them to the bottom right corner on top of the ribbon.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I absolutely love this project, I think it has the perfect amount of spook for my Halloween! The crow definitely brings it together, and he goes so well with the scrapbook papers I chose! I absolutely can not wait to get this Halloween Crow Mixed Media Hanger into my craft booth, I think it will be a big hit! What do you think, will you be giving this one a shot?
