DIY Thrifted Christmas Card Holder
I’m sure many of you have the same problem that most people have of not having enough room to keep all of your Christmas cards. I never seem to have the space to keep them, so when I found this old mail holder at my local thrift store, the idea for this DIY Thrifted Christmas Card Holder came to me! Having this gives the perfect space to keep all the cards together if you don’t have the room to display them! Follow along, and let me know if you will be giving one a shot!
Supplies:
Thrifted Mail Holder
Paints- White and Green
Tim Holtz Christmas Paper
Rub n Buff
First, I sanded off the picture on the front of the mail holder.
Second, I used the White paint and painted each of the mail slots, and the front of the holder.
Third, I used the Green paint and repainted all of the green surfaces of the mail holder.
Fourth, I cut a piece of the Tim Holtz Christmas paper to fit the front section of the mail holder. I then used Mod Podge to attach it.
Finally, I used the Rub n Buff around all of the edges.
Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I love it, and couldn’t be happier with how it came out. The Green paint with the Christmas paper on the front blend so well together, and the Rub n Buff just makes it all pop! This DIY Thrifted Christmas Card Holder is one of my craft projects so far this holiday season. I’m not sure if I want to take it over to my craft booth, or keep it here at home.
