DIY Joy Hanging Sign
I love making craft projects for the Christmas holiday season! There are so many different projects that I have ideas for, that I never seem to have enough time to get them all done. I may just have to sneak in Christmas crafts all year and save them. Maybe I’ll get all my ideas out there that way. I’ve had the idea for this DIY Joy Hanging Sign for quite a while and was finally able to get started on it. Follow along, you will not be disappointed.
Supplies:
Unfinished Wood Sign
Joy Ornament
Ribbons
White Paint
Twine
First, I painted the unfinished wood sign with the White Paint.
Second, I drilled two small holes into the top of the sign that I just painted.
Third, I removed the twine hanger from the “JOY” ornament, I then used Antique Wax around the frame of the ornament.
Fourth, I cut a length of the wide ribbon and glued it around the center of the painted sign. I then cut two lengths of the smaller ribbon, and glued one above and below the larger ribbon.
Fifth, I cut a length of twine, threading it through the holes I drilled and tying the ends, creating a hanger.
Finally, I glued the “JOY” ornament to the center of the painted sign. I then used the Antique Wax around the edges of the painted sign.
Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I love the simplicity of this project, but also how you can feel the holiday spirit looking at it. This craft project was so simple to pull together, and still came out amazing. I can’t wait to get this one into my craft booth, all of my signs seem to be a big hit.
