Dollar Tree Witch Pumpkin
I love how many of the Dollar Trees now have an amazing supply of crafting materials. Sometimes things that are not even meant for crafts can be perfect in projects too! I have been finding carts full of supplies lately, and this light up pumpkin was one of many great finds on my latest trip to my local store, and I had the perfect project in mind for it too! Follow along with this Dollar Tree Witch Pumpkin, you will not be disappointed!
Supplies:
Dollar Tree Light Up Pumpkin
Witch Hat – Walmart Witch Hat Garland
Black and Burnt Orange Paint
Coffee Dyed Cheese Cloth
Sweet Annie – Facebook Marketplace
Rusty Bell and Pin
Burlap Scrap
Muslin Scrap
Letter Stamps- Stampin Up (eBay)
Rusty Bat
Antique Wax
First, I painted over the pumpkin with the Burnt Orange colored paint.
Second, I painted the rim of the eyes, as well as the mouth, and nose with the Black paint.
Third, I gave the pumpkin a coating of the Antique Wax, especially through the cracks of the pumpkin.
Fourth, I glued the witch hat to the pumpkin head.
Fifth, I cut a large length of the coffee dyed cheese cloth and tied it around the base of the witch hat.
Sixth, I placed a bunch of the Sweet Annie through the knot in the cheese cloth.
Seventh, I took the scrap of muslin and glued it to the scrap of burlap. I then used my stamps to stamp “EEK” to it.
Eighth, I glued the stamped scraps of muslin and burlap diagonally onto the hat.
Finally, I took the rusty bell, using the rusty safety pin and attached it to the knot of the cheese cloth. I then glued the rusty bat to the edge of the burlap.
Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I couldn’t be any happier with this project, it came out better than I imagined it would! It’s amazing how with just a little paint and some accessories, how a plain old pumpkin can be transformed into something absolutely amazing! I can not wait to get this project into my craft booth, I know it will be a huge hit! So, what do you think, will you give this one a try?
