DIY Thrifted Witch Boot Makeover

When I go hunting for craft supplies, I usually either end up at Dollar Tree or the thrift stores. I always leave both places with more than enough supplies for a couple craft projects! This DIY Thrifted Witch Boot Makeover is my latest project with supplies from my local thrift store. Follow along, you will not be disappointed!

Supplies:

Thrifted Witch Boot
Scrapbook Paper
Black and Lime Green Paints
Purple Rick Rack
Sparkle Flowers
Diamond Gems and Black Gems
Beaded Trim
Black Trim

First, I removed all of the embellishments from the witch boot.

Second, I painted the witch boot with the Black paint. The wooden embellishment I removed, I painted with the Lime Green paint. I then used chalk to draw a line on the boot where a shoe would meet the leg.

Third, I traced the bottom half of the witch boot onto the scrapbook paper. I then traced the top half of the boot onto the black and white scrapbook paper. When finished I cut them out.

Fourth, I glued the top piece of scrapbook paper to the boot.

Fifth, I glued the bottom half of the boot shaped scrapbook paper onto the boot.

Sixth, I glued a piece of the purple Rick Rack from the heel of the boot toward the toe, leaving space for the piece I painted Lime Green. I then smudged Black paint around the edges of the Black and White scrapbook paper

Seventh, I glued the Lime Green piece back onto the front of the boot. I then added sparkle flowers up the center of that, adding diamond gems to the center of the flowers.

Eighth, I glued beaded trim across the top of the boot.

Ninth, I glued some of the Black trim across the top of the beaded trim. Then I brought it down the front of the boot as well, ending just before the black portion of the boot starts.

Finally, I added some of the Black gems down the front of the toe, as well as under the Purple Rick Rack.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? It definitely brings the Halloween feel out, and I love it! This craft project took some work, but it came out amazing! I can’t wait to get this one into my craft booth, and will definitely be in my next pile of crafts I bring over to restock my booth. I hope you followed along with this DIY Thrifted Witch Boot Makeover, and have decided to give it a go too!
