DIY Dollar Tree Mushroom
Once again I’m loving the Dollar Tree craft stock. I found this wooden mushroom on my last run to my local Dollar Tree. The idea for this DIY Dollar Tree Mushroom came to me as soon as I saw it! I also grabbed some tissue paper while I was there, and went home and got to work. It was so, so simple to craft and I know you will not be disappointed if you follow along!

Supplies:
Dollar Tree Mushroom
Antique Wax
Dollar Tree Tissue Paper
Twine
Button

First, I coated the head of the mushroom with Mod Podge.

Second, I laid the tissue paper I chose to use over the Mod Podge, covered it with parchment paper, and ironed it out smooth.

Third, I removed all the excess tissue paper from the mushroom.

Fourth, I coated the stem of the mushroom with Antique Wax.

Fifth, I cut a length of twine, then wrapped it around the top of the stem a few times.

Finally, I used each end of the twine, threaded them through the button, and tied it off.

Here it is all finished, what do you think, do you like how it turned out? This project was so simple, and still came out beautiful! I think I may go back and grab a few more, and maybe some different styles of tissue paper to make an assortment of these before I bring my new stocks over to my craft booth! I didn’t need many supplies to make this come out how I envisioned it. I’m thinking people will love these, what do you think? Did you like this DIY Dollar Tree Mushroom enough to give one a go?
