Thrifted Farmhouse Cow
As many of you know, I love to shop for crafting supplies at the dollar stores, and the thrift stores. I always seem to find amazing supplies at both. It truly amazes me with some of the things I find at the thrift stores that people no longer saw as useful to them. Sometimes those items need a complete makeover and sometimes all they need is a little vision to bring them back to life. Follow along with this Thrifted Farmhouse Cow, you will not be sorry you did!
Supplies:
Thrifted Cow
White and Black Paint
Farmhouse Stencil
Twine
Rusty Bell and Pin
First, I painted the entire cow with the White Paint.
Second, I laid out and leveled the stencil where I wanted it. Then I taped it down.
Third, I used the Black Paint to apply the stencil. I then lightly sanded around the edges of the cow.
Finally, I cut a length of twine, and tied it into a bow around the cows neck. I then used the rusty pin to secure the rusty bell to the center of the bow.
Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I couldn’t be happier with the end result. Giving the cow a coat of paint already gave it an entirely new feel, and adding the stenciling and the bow just finished the project off. I can never explain how happy it makes me to take something that was discarded and bringing back to life. So what do you think, will you be giving this Thrifted Farmhouse Cow a shot too?
