Dollar Tree Peace Ornament
When I found this wooden ornament at Dollar Tree I knew exactly what I wanted to make with it. I already had a wooden peace cutout I knew would look amazing with it. Christmas is one of my favorite holidays to make craft projects for, and when I finally get to start crafting for it, I get so excited! Check out this Dollar Tree Peace Ornament, I think you’ll love it!
Supplies:
Dollar Tree Wooden Ornament
Wooden Peace Cutout – Walmart
Scrapbook Paper- Hobby Lobby
White Ribbon
Tinsel Ribbon
Paint- White and Thicket
First, I painted the wooden ornament with the White Paint.
Second, I covered the bottom portion of the ornament with Mod Podge. I then placed a piece of scrapbook paper on it, and trimmed off all the excess.
Third, I added Mod Podge to the top section of the ornament and placed the second sheet of scrapbook paper over that, trimming off the excess.
Fourth, I painted the “PEACE” cutout with the Thicket Paint.
Fifth, I cut two lengths of the white ribbon and glued them to the edges of the scrapbook paper.
Sixth, I glued the “PEACE” cutout to the center of the ornament.
Finally, I cut a length of the tinsel ribbon and tied it through the hole at the top of the ornament to create the hanger.
Here it is all finished, do you like how the final project came out? I love the scrapbook paper with the color I chose to use on the “PEACE” cutout. This Dollar Tree Peace Ornament is such a beautiful craft for the holiday season, and I can’t wait to hang it! I think I may get a couple more and change up the colors, I think they’ll fly off the shelves! Do you think you’ll give this project a try?
