DIY Farmhouse Chicken Tag

Some of my most favorite craft projects come from scraps I already had on hand, and turn into beautiful pieces! I had recently come up with the idea for this DIY Farmhouse Chicken Tag when I was going though a bunch of Thymeless Designs Rub On Transfers I have and came across this farmhouse chicken one. Other than that design and some paint all I needed was a scrap piece of wood, which I always have a bunch of. Follow along with this beautiful craft, you will not be disappointed!

Supplies:

Fence Piece
Black and White Paint
Greenery
Fabric Strip
Rope
Rub On Transfer- Thymeless Designs

First, I painted the piece of scrap wood with the Black Paint.

Second, I gave the wood a very light coating of the White Paint over the Black.

Third, I drilled a large hole into the top center of the piece of scrap wood fence piece.

Fourth, I tied a large piece of rope through the hole creating the tags hanger.

Fifth, I laid out the Thymeless Design where I wanted it to be.

Sixth, I secured the Rub On Transfer to the wood.

Seventh, I glued a bunch of greenery to the top of the tag.

I finished it off by tying a bow with the scrap fabric and glued that to the center of the greenery.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I love when craft projects turn out so amazing, when they start from just scraps. Farmhouse decor is some of my favorite, and I always love making them. I’m thinking this project will fly right out of the store, and can’t wait to get it over there! Do you think you’ll be giving this DIY Farmhouse Chicken Tag a try?
