DIY Bunny Silver Tray
Crafting for Easter is so much fun, since I can tie the holiday into Spring as well. When I found this tray at the thrift store and I had the bunny sign from Dollar Tree, I knew exactly what I wanted to make. I love it when I find thrift store items that I can make beautiful again while also finding new ways to make them useful in a way that wasn’t intended. I hope you follow along with this DIY Bunny Silver Tray and find items to make one of your very own too!

Supplies:
Silver Thrifted Tray
Dollar Tree Bunny Sign
Embossed Scrapbook Paper – Hobby Lobby
Happy Easter Cut Out – Hobby Lobby
Lace Ribbon
Fabric Strip
Florals and Greenery
Spanish Moss
Chalk Paint – Vintage
Acrylic Paint – Vintage White
Antique Wax

First, I painted the thrifted tray with the vintage chalk paint.

Second, I removed the bow, and the ear from the bunny. I then traced the shape of the bunny onto the embossed scrapbook paper, cutting it out afterwards.

Third, I gave the bunny a coat of Mod Podge to secure the scrapbook paper to him.

Fourth, I painted over the scrapbook paper on the bunny with the vintage white acrylic paint.

Fifth, I lightly sanded around the edges of the tray and throughout the center.

Sixth, I used Antique Wax around the edges of the bunny.

Seventh, I glued his metal ear piece back on. I then used hot glue to secure him to the center of the tray.

Eighth, I hot glued some of the Spanish Moss along the bottom of the tray under the bunny.

Ninth, I hot glued some of the greenery and florals on top of the Spanish Moss.

Tenth, I made a bow with some fabric that I thought matched the whole project and hot glued it to the center of the florals.

Eleventh, I tied a bow out of the lace ribbon and hot glued it to the bunnies neck.

Twelfth, I used the Antique Wax and coated the Happy Easter with it.

Finally, I hot glued the Happy Easter cutout to the top of the tray above the bunny.

Here is the project all completed, how do you think it turned out? I couldn’t be happier with it! It looks so festive and brings the Easter and spring feel out! This craft took quite a few steps but was well worth the time and effort to get the final result that I did. I hope you enjoyed this DIY Bunny Silver Tray and give one a try for yourselves too!
