DIY Candy Cane Shelf Sitter

It’s that time of year again! Christmas is coming and it’s coming fast! I can’t seem to stop crafting for it, I spend hours in my craft room trying to get all my ideas put together into these crafts that I want to get done, and this DIY Candy Cane Shelf Sitter is my latest! It’s pretty simple and doesn’t take much to put together! I hope you like it, and give one a try too!

Wood- Dollar Tree
Ticking Fabric- Hobby Lobby
Muslin Fabric – Hobby Lobby
Stamp & Ink
White Paint

First, I painted the edges around the whole wooden piece I found at Dollar Tree.

Second, I cut a piece of the ticking fabric to fit the wood and glued it to the wood with Mod Podge.

Third, I cut a piece of the Muslin fabric slightly smaller than the ticking fabric. I then used the ink and candy cane stamp and stamped the Muslin. After that I used a little more Mod Podge and glued the Muslin fabric on top of the ticking fabric.

Fourth, I used the ribbon and tied a bow around the length of berries and hot glued it to the side of the stamped Muslin.

Finally, I hot glued the bell to the bow.

Here it is all completed, what do you think? This was such a fun and simple craft to put together and still brings out that Christmas feel! I can’t wait for this time of year to come around so I can get all of these craft ideas out there, and this was just my latest idea that I hope you like! Do you think you’ll give this DIY Candy Cane Shelf Sitter a try too?
