DIY Cardinal Embroidery Hoop Christmas Ornament
Christmas time is one of my all-time favorite times of the year, and when I can make crafts to share with everyone, I love it that much more! Making ornaments is so much fun, and there are so many ideas I have for them that I can’t seem to get them done fast enough! You can never have too many ornaments, so I’ll just keep making them! Follow along with this DIY Cardinal Embroidery Hoop Christmas Ornament, this may be one you’ll want to give a go too!
Supplies:
Embroidery Hoop 3 Inch
Unbleached Muslin
Thymeless Designs Rub On Transfers – https://amzn.to/3ApSQjO
Ribbon
Greenery
Mini Pinecone
First, I chose the cardinal rub on transfer and attached him to the unbleached Muslin.
Second, I gave the embroidery loop a coating of the Antique Wax.
Third, I placed the Muslin into the embroidery loop, making sure the cardinal was centered and tightened it down.
Fourth, I cut off all of the excess Muslin.
Fifth, I cut a piece of the ribbon, looped it around the screw at the top of the embroidery loop, then tied a knot in the end.
Sixth, I cut another piece of ribbon, and tied it into a bow. I then took a piece of the greenery and the bow and glued them to the top of the embroidery loop.
Finally, I glued the mini pine cone to the center of the bow.
Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I couldn’t be happier with the final result; it came out better than I envisioned. I love the cardinal rub on transfer and how nicely it goes with the ribbon I chose, as well as the coloring of the Antique Wax. It all blends together nicely, and the greenery just gives it that extra pop! I can’t wait to get this one into my craft booth, it will definitely be in my next restocking trip!
