DIY Christmas 2×4 Village Shelf Sitter
Here is another one of my craft projects that I got to use my napkin stock on. I love using them in my crafts, especially the Christmas themed ones! They always come out so festive, and look absolutely amazing. This one was so simple to make that I think I may be making a bunch more so I have a few to bring over to my craft booth. Follow along with this DIY Christmas 2×4 Village Shelf Sitter, you will not be disappointed!
Supplies:
2×4
Napkin
Tim Holtz Chipboard Quote
Greenery
Mesh Ribbon
Pine Cone
First, I gave the cut 2×4 piece a generous coating of Mod Podge.
Second, I opened the napkin and laid it over the Mod Podge, making sure to center the scene. I also covered the top and bottom edges, then cut off the excess.
Third, I used Antique Wax on the ends of the 2×4 where there is no napkin.
Fourth, I glued the Tim Holtz clipboard quote to the bottom corner of the napkin.
Fifth, I hot glued a bunch of the greenery to the top of the shelf sitter.
Sixth, I cut a length of the mesh ribbon, tied it into a large bow, and glued it to the center of the greenery.
Finally, I glued the pine cone to the center of the bow.
Here it is all finished, how do you think it came out? I love this craft project, it is so festive and definitely brings the holiday spirit! Shelf sitters are some of my favorite crafts to make, and when I can use my napkins to make them, I love them even more. I’m thinking I may keep this DIY Christmas 2×4 Village Shelf Sitter here at home on my own shelf rather than bringing it over to my craft booth. This is why I always have way to many decorations at Christmas time, I can’t seem to get rid of all the projects I make. Will You be making this craft?
