It’s Christmas time again! I absolutely love this time of year, it has to be one of my absolute favorites! There are so many different crafts I want to make this year, that seem to be spending most of my time in my craft room trying to get them all put together! This DIY Christmas House Scene was fun to make and I hope you enjoy it and give it a try too!
Wooden House – Dollar General
Wood Base – Dollar Tree
Paints – Black, Red, White
First, I took the wooden base I got at Dollar Tree and coated it with the Antique Wax.
Second, once the Antique Wax dried I gave it a coat of white paint along with the roof of the wooden house.
Third, I painted the chimney black and the face of the wooden house red.
Fourth, I cut the craft sticks to make windows as well as a door. I then painted them black. Once those dried I painted the smaller window pieces with white to make the window design and gave the door a light coat of white overtop of the black.
Fifth, I hot glued them in place on the front of the house. I then hot glued the small wreath above the door.
Sixth, I nailed the five nails across the front of the painted wooden base.
Seventh, I hot glued the house to the wooden base behind the nails.
Eighth, I hot glued the mini trees to the wooden base beside the house.
Finally, I used a length of the wire to wrap around the nails to create the fence look. I also gave a light sanding around the edges of the house and the wooden base.
Here it is all finished, what do you think of how it turned out? This was such a fun craft to put together, and I had a blast making it! I love to make holiday crafts especially for Christmas and this DIY Christmas House Scene was perfect for this holiday season! What do you think, will you give this one a try too?
