It’s Christmas, and I have so many ideas for crafts! I Don’t think I’ll ever get all my ideas finished before this holiday season is over, but I will give it my best shot! This DIY Deer Head Christmas Ornament craft idea came to me while I was making my last project. There was an extra wood round left over from that project, so when I was done with that one I got started immediately with this one! I hope you love the simplicity and and ease of this craft, that you want to give one a try too!
First, I drilled a small hole at the top of the wood round, where I will eventually make a hanger.
Second, I covered the wood round with a layer of Mod Podge. I then cut a piece of the scrapbook paper the exact size of the wood round, and secured it by sticking it to the Mod Podge, smoothing it out so there were no wrinkles. I then made sure to open the hanger hole back up through the scrapbook paper.
Third, I cut a length of twine and threaded through the hole, tying a knot to make a hanger.
Finally, I hot glued the deer ornament onto the front of the wood round. I made sure to have it centered.
Here is the final result, how do you think it turned out? This DIY Deer Head Christmas Ornament was such a simple but fun project to put together! I love the simplicity of it, but also the home feel it brings! I hope you’re able to give one of these a try too!
