I don’t know many people that don’t enjoy having candles around their house. Whether they are real with your favorite aroma or they are for decoration, they bring everything together nicely. I have candles lit as much as possible It’s super relaxing for sure, even if it is lit from a switch. Follow along with me for a DIY Dollar Tree Candle Holder.
Pencil Holder- Dollar Tree
Candle Stick- Dollar Tree
Metal Ribbon- Dollar Tree
We are going to start off by cutting off a length of metal ribbon that is going to go around the top and the bottom of the pencil holder. I started at the top by running a bead of hot glue around the pencil holder and then attaching the ribbon. I used some small craft clamps to hold on the top piece so that I could attach the bottom piece.
Next I added the candle stick to the underneath of the pencil holder. This was also attached using hot glue.
Once all your glue is dry, you can remove your mini clamps. Now we are going to use our white paint to cover the pencil holder, this could take more than one coat to make sure that the metal is completely covered.
After the paint on the pencil holder is dry, we are going to add paint to the candle holder. Again this could take more than one coat to cover fully.
After the paint on your entire project has dried we are going to run the sandpaper over everything. This gives the project a distressed rustic look.
I added a battery operated candle to mine and my project was finished. I really love how this came out, it fits in really well with the decor that I have around my house. What I liked the most about this is that it can be used all year long.
