DIY Dollar Tree Honeycomb Sign

I love to craft for Spring time, and when Spring finally starts to be in sight I can never wait to get started! When I found this hexagon shaped sign I knew exactly what I wanted to make. This sign gave me all the feels of bee honeycomb and I knew I had to bring that to life. I hope you follow along with this DIY Dollar Tree Honeycomb Sign and can give one a try too!

Supplies:

Hexagon Shaped Sign
Bee Fabric
Buffalo Check Ribbon
Bee Button
Twine
Small Wooden Square
Jenga Block
Antique Wax
White Paint

First, I found the exact piece of the bee fabric I wanted to use and measured and cut it to fit the small wooden square.

Second, I gave the wooden square a coating of Mod Podge and smoothed the fabric over it to secure it down.

Third, I painted the inside of the hexagon sign with white paint. I then covered the ring of the hexagon with Antique Wax.

Fourth, I glued the jenga block to the center of the backside of the wooden square.

Fifth, I hot glued a piece of twine all the way around the inner base of the hexagon.

Sixth, I used hot glue to secure the wooden square to the center of the inside of the hexagon.

Finally I tied a bow from the black and white checked ribbon. I then glued it to the top corner of the hexagon. Finally, I glued the bee button to the center of the bow.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? This project surpassed my expectations! I love the look of this craft and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! It has that Spring time feel to it that I just can’t get enough of! I hope you followed along with this DIY Dollar Tree Honeycomb Sign, and are able to give it a shot too!
