DIY Dollar Tree Pumpkin Shadow Box
I love shadow boxes! There are so many different display scenes you could put in one, the ideas are endless! When I found this shadow box sign at Dollar Tree, I had an idea of what I could do with it, so I just had to grab it! When I got it home and sat and thought about it, the perfect idea came to me, and this DIY Dollar Tree Pumpkin Shadow Box was born! I hope you follow along and decide to give one a shot too! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
Supplies:
Dollar Tree Shadow Box Sign
Wooden Circle
Pumpkin Table Scatter
Burlap
Raffia
Orange Paint
Fall Scrapbook Paper- Hobby Lobby
Antique Wax
First, I removed the sign from the wooden frame of the shadow box.
Second, I painted the frame with the Orange paint.
Third, I covered the sign I removed from the frame with the Fall Scrapbook paper.
Fourth, I cut a piece of the burlap to be the same size as the wooden circle and glued in on. I then gave a coating of Antique Wax to it.
Fifth, I glued a small piece of scrap wood to the back of the wooden circle.
Sixth, I reattached the scrapbook covered sign to the wooden frame of the shadow box.
Seventh, I glued one of the pumpkins from the table scatter to the center of the wooden circle. I then glued the whole thing to the center of the shadow box.
Finally, I took a piece of the raffia, tied it into a small bow and glued it just under the stem of the pumpkin.
Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I couldn’t be happier with this project, it came out exactly as I envisioned it would! I love how the orange from the frame and the pumpkin blend so well with the Fall scrapbook paper! This paper was definitely a good call when I found it at Hobby Lobby!
