I love spring time, seeing everything come to life again it always brings a good feeling to me. It make crafting so much fun too, all the bright colors and fresh look to everything! I found this wooden ornament at Dollar Tree and grabbed a couple, I had no idea what I would do with them they are just too cool and cheap to pass up! Well a few days later I was wondering around JoAnn’s and found the cutest spring scrapbook paper and then I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it! Follow along on this DIY Dollar Tree Spring Ornament, you’re going to love it!

It didn’t take a whole lot of supplies, some ADORABLE scrapbook paper, fabric, paint and mod-podge and some rick rack.

Step 1, I painted it with acrylic paint in Antique Gold one of my favorite colors.

Next I traced out my ornament on to my fabric, cut it out and mod podged it on. Then I sanded off the excess fabric, allowing some of the wood to sand off and the paint to show through also.

Finally I added the scrapbook paper and put rick rack on the top and bottom of the scrapbook paper. Then I added a twine hanger. DONE! How adorable is this!?

Absolutely love how this turned out, so bright and fresh and simple!

I hope you enjoyed this DIY Dollar Tree Spring Ornament, I hope it inspires you to make one!
