When I was out at Savers shopping the other day, I found this amazing wool fabric. I knew I wanted to use it in some fall projects. So many ideas, pumpkins and for this idea some fabric covered stacked books. Come follow along as I make these DIY Fall Stacked Books.

Supplies:

Books
Wool Fabric
Burlap Fabric
Muslin
Stamps
Wooden Leaf – Hobby Lobby
Ribbon and Twine

First, I cut my wool to the size of my book. Then I used Mod Podge to secure it. Just wrapped it around and then folded in the edges. I repeated the same process with the burlap I used on the second book.

Here they are both wrapped.

Second, I wrapped some ribbon around both books. I secured it at the bottom with hot glue.

Third, I painted this wooden leaf from Hobby Lobby with a dark burgundy.

Fourth, I took some aged muslin and ripped out two small rectangles and stamped them. Once they were dry, I attached them to the book edges.

Finally, I added my leaf to the top and a twine bow. I topped it off with an acorn button!

These turned out so AMAZING!! I am so glad I decided to grab that wool when I saw it, it was perfect for this project!!

That leaf is so perfect, I absolutely love it!! These I think have become my favorite project I have made for Fall in a long time! What do you think, do you think you’ll try to make some DIY Fall Stacked Books?
