I love fabric covered boxes, when primitive decor was the “in” style fabric boxes were a big thing. Since styles have changed to a lot of farmhouse decor I haven’t seen fabric boxes. I figured I would make some in a farmhouse style, maybe start a trend haha! The best part is most of the supplies came from Dollar Tree!! Hopefully you’ll love how this DIY Farmhouse Fabric Box turned out!

Supplies:
Paper Mache’ Round Box -Dollar Tree
Fabric- Dollar Tree
Small Wood Cutout- Michaels
Farmhouse Stencil -Dollar Tree
Rub On Transfer- Dollar Tree
Mod Podge

First, I gave the boxes a coat of white paint. The fabric was very thin, and I didn’t want the brown from the box showing through.

Second, lay your fabric out and cut it to the size of your box. I used Mod Podge to attach the fabric, cutting off excess when needed. Once you attach the sides, tuck the edges inside the box, again using Mod Podge.

Third, I traced the top and cut it out. So far, I think it is turning out so cute, I love the gray striped fabric!

Fourth I painted my wood cutout with some gray paint to match the fabric. Next, I took the Dollar Tree farmhouse stencil and used the rooster from the center on the wood cutout.

Fifth, I used the word gather from the rub on transfers I got at Dollar Tree.

Finally, I dry brushed some white around the wood cutout. Then glue your wood cutout to the top of your box. This project is DONE!!

How absolutely ADORABLE did this turn out?! Do you think this will be a trend haha?!

This was so fun and really easy to make, and it turned out so much better than I expected! Do you think you’ll make your own DIY Farmhouse Fabric Box?
