DIY Farmhouse Home Sign

On one of my recent supply hunts, I came across this home sign at Michaels and knew I wanted to use it to make some sort of project. My next stop had been at my local Dollar Tree where I found a hanging sign that I knew would be perfect! Follow along with this DIY Farmhouse Home Sign, and give one a try for yourselves! You will not be disappointed!

Supplies:

Dollar Tree Sign

Home Sign – Michaels

8 1/2 Wood Beads

Antique Wax

Sage Green Paint

First, I removed the hanger and the beads and set the beads aside for later. I then used the Antique Wax around the frame of the hanging sign, and I also covered all of the home sign except the letters.

Second, I painted the letters of the home sign, as well as the 1/2 wood beads with the sage green paint.

Third, I glued the home sign to the center of the hanging sign.

Fourth, I glued the 1/2 wood beads evenly spaced at the top and bottom of the home sign.

Fifth, I took the beads I had removed from the handle of the sign and painted four of them with the sage green paint and four with the Antique Wax.

Finally, I cut a length of twine and threaded the beads back on, alternating the colors and tied the ends through the holes in the sign.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I couldn’t be happier with this project! It came out just like I thought it would. This was such a fun craft to put together, and I can’t wait to get it into my craft booth. I love when I can find supplies that work so well together and end up with an amazing craft project when it’s finished. So what do you think, will you be giving this DIY Farmhouse Home Sign a go too?
