It’s Christmas time again! I love to craft for the Christmas holiday and what better way than to get the gingerbread flowing? I Can’t wait to get more crafts put together with all of the gingerbread ideas I have! When I found this birdhouse at Dollar Tree I knew I wanted to turn it into a gingerbread house and couldn’t wait to get home and get it started. I hope you enjoy this DIY Gingerbread Dollar Tree Birdhouse as much as I loved creating it!

Supplies:

Dollar Tree Birdhouse
Paints- Burgundy, Territorial BeigeĀ
SnowTex – Faux Snow at Hobby Lobby
White Paint Pen

First, I painted the entire birdhouse with the Territorial Beige. I then used the Burgundy to paint the back half of the bird perch and the front half I painted with White.

Second, I used the Burgundy again and painted around all of the edges of the birdhouse.

Third, I used my white paint pen and made designs along the front of the birdhouse.

Finally, I used the SnowTex Faux Snow that I found at Hobby Lobby and covered the base of the birdhouse along with the whole roof.

Here is the final result, how do you think it came out? I think this is one of my favorite gingerbread house crafts so far! When I get to incorporate gingerbread and birdhouses together I love how they turn out, and this was no exception! I have so many more craft ideas to get done this holiday season and I can’t wait to share them with you! I’m hoping you enjoyed this DIY Gingerbread Dollar Tree Birdhouse and are able to put your creative skills to work and make one too!
