I’ve always thought gingerbread people were super adorable. They just instantly put a smile on my face. Not only can you do so much with them from tree ornaments, to gingerbread cookies, and cute little crafts, but the smell of gingerbread is amazing as well. So getting with the spirits I decided to start making some new ornaments for my Christmas tree. Follow along with me for a DIY Gingerbread Ornament.

Supplies:
Small Wood Circle
Ribbon or Fabric
Paints- Brown, Black, White, Pink
DecoArt Enchanted Shimmer

We are going to start by painting the entire small wood circle with our brown paint. Make sure to fully cover all sides, this could take more than one coat. After the brown paint has dried go ahead and grab your pink paint and add some round cheeks to your gingerbread face.

Once the paint from the previous step has dried, grab your white and black. We are going to add some little eyes and some “hair” to this cuties face.

Next go ahead and flip your ornament over. You are going to add your piece of ribbon or fabric to the top center for your hanger. I attached mine using a small dab of hot glue.

Finally I added some DecoArt Enchanted Shimmer to the front of the wooden circle, this gives the ornament a magical look, I think. I also added a ribbon to the front top of the ornament to give it a little something extra.

This came out so cute and looks great hanging on the Christmas tree. You could make an entire little family out of these small wooden circles and hang them all throughout your tree or house. Do you think you will make a DIY Gingerbread Ornament?
