DIY Lemon Tobacco Basket

I’m definitely on a roll using my napkin stocks in my craft projects lately! When I come up with projects that I can use them in, I couldn’t be happier, they always come out so amazing! On my last trip over to Hobby Lobby I found this mini tobacco basket, I knew would work perfect for a project I had been thinking about. I already had the rest of the supplies needed, so this basket was definitely the perfect find! Please follow along with this DIY Lemon Tobacco Basket, you will not be disappointed!

Supplies:

Mini Tobacco Basket – Hobby Lobby 

Wooden Square – Dollar Tree

Dollar Tree Jenga Block

Lemon Napkin

White Paint

Mod Podge 

First, I painted the Jenga block and the wooden square with the white paint.

Second, I gave the square a coating of Mod Podge, then opened the napkin over it making sure the lemon was centered. I then smoothed it out and cut off all of the excess.

Third, I hot glued the Jenga block to the inside center of the basket. I then placed a large amount of the hot glue to the top side of the Jenga block and attached the napkin covered square to that.

Fourth, I cut a length of twine, making a loop and hot gluing it to the back of the basket at the top, creating a hanger. I then cut a larger length of twine forming it into a triple bow, and hot gluing that to the top, front of the basket.

Finally, I hot glued the button to the center of the bow.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I couldn’t be happier, it came out just as I thought it would, maybe even a little nicer! It’s always a win when I get the craft to come out just as I envisioned it would! Finding this basket at Hobby Lobby was definitely the piece that made this project come together!
