DIY Let It Snow Sign

I love to craft for the Winter months! There are so many different crafts you could make for this season, and I never seem to be able to finish all of the ideas floating around in my head. I found this Let It Snow stencil at Hobby Lobby and knew I had to purchase it to complete the project I had been contemplating making for a while. Follow along with this DIY Let It Snow Sign, you will not be disappointed.

Supplies:

Sign – Hobby Lobby
Spackle
Let it Snow Stencil – Hobby Lobby
Twine
Glitter
Paints – Teal Green, Light Blue and White

First, I removed the hanger from the sign, I then painted it with the Teal Green paint.

Second, I taped the stencil down to the center of the sign. I then used the spackle to stencil the “Let It Snow” onto the sign.

Third, I went over the “Let It Snow” with the glitter.

Fourth, I taped the snowflake section of the stencil above the “Let It Snow” and used the spackle to stencil them on. I then used the glitter again over the snowflakes.

Fifth, I smudged some White paint around the edges of the sign.

Sixth, I cut a length of twine and thread it through the holes at the top of the sign, knotting if off to secure it.

Finally, I gave the sign a coating of clear gloss.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it came out? This project was so simple and was a blast to make. I couldn’t be happier with the end result. This is one of my more favorite signs I’ve made this season, and I’ve got it hanging in my home now. I usually take most of my projects over to my craft booth, but this one, I just had to keep. I hope you followed along and have decided to give this DIY Let It Snow Sign a try too!
