DIY Patriotic Hanging Basket
I love making patriotic crafts, they’re some of my favorite to create. When I came across this basket on clearance at Hobby Lobby an idea hit almost immediately, this DIY Patriotic Hanging Basket came to mind. I already had the tin star pocket from a previous thrift haul, and the florals, so I knew I had the perfect supplies that would work perfect with it! I hope you follow along and decide you want to give this one a shot too, it was a blast to make and you will not be disappointed!

Supplies:
Hobby Lobby Clearance Basket
Thrifted Metal Star Wall Pocket
White Spray Paint
Patriotic Flowers and Ribbon ~ Joann’s

First, I took the basket outside and sprayed the entire thing with white spray paint. I made sure to get it completely covered.

Second, I used E6000 and hot glue to secure the thrifted star to the inside, center of the basket.

Third, I placed the patriotic florals into the star pocket.

Finally, I cut a large length of the patriotic ribbon, tied it into a bow and glued it just under the florals on the star.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I think this is one of my favorite patriotic crafts I’ve made in a while. It’s such a simple, yet beautiful craft and I couldn’t be happier with the end result! When projects come together the way I imagine them to be, it makes me so happy! I can’t wait to get this DIY Patriotic Hanging Basket into my craft booth on my next trip in! I’m hoping you enjoyed this DIY as much as I did putting it together, and have decided you will give one a shot too!
