I love making over thrift store finds, it is so much fun to take something and give it a whole new life. I found this cheese grater for $1 and decided to give it a makeover! I have a snow lady I made and today I am making a pumpkin. So let’s make this DIY Pumpkin Cheese Grater!

Supplies:
Thrifted Cheese Grater
Acrylic Paint- White, Black, Orange, Yellow
Sharpie Marker
Ribbon & Twine (your choice)
Rusty Bell
Start by painting the bottom of the grater yellow, the middle orange and the top white. It will look like a candy corn.
Second, I used the sharpie to draw a pumpkin face, then used the black acrylic paint to fill in the marker outline.

Then I took the white paint and outlined parts of his mouth and eyes and then added two white dots for his pupils. Finally I tied some twine and ribbon on the handle, and a added a rusty bell. DONE!
I love how this turned out, he is SO CUTE!! You could add some lights inside to illuminate it! It is a fun Halloween decoration for the kitchen! You could opt to not put on the face and leave it as a candy corn!

Love your cheese grater pumpkin. Found a slightly rested one on a thrift store and I have all the other supplies even a rusted bell. We crafters never throw anything away and I love to repurpose stuff! Thank you for the ideas!
