If you’re like me then one of your favorite things about Christmas and Winter are snowmen. I have always loved them since I was a little kid. I have figured out so many different ways to craft and decorate with them through the years. I’m a huge fan of handmade Christmas ornaments, especially when I can include these cute little guys. Follow along with me for a DIY Snowman Ornament.

Supplies:

Wooden Circle, Wooden Star

Scrapbook Paper

Paints- White, Black, Orange, Pink

DecoArt Holographic Illusions

First we are going to start off by covering our wooden star with our white paint. Make sure to fully cover the entire star.

After the white paint has dried go ahead and trace your star onto the scrapbook paper. Cut out the paper and attach it to the star. I used a small amount of Mod Podge to attach the paper to mine.

For the next step paint your small wooden circle with your white paint. Cover completely.

Now using your other paint colors, go ahead and give your little snowman a face. You can make yours however you would like.

After the paint on your snowman’s face has dried go ahead and cover the entire front of the wooden circle with the DecoArt Holographic Illusions. I love the shimmery look that this gives any craft project.

Finally go ahead and hot glue the snowman face to the center of the wooden star. Add some string to the top and tie in a bow. This makes the hanger for your ornament.

This little guy looks absolutely adorable hanging on the tree. I really enjoyed making this ornament and loved that I got to add my own little personality to the face painting. Do you think you will make a DIY Snowman Ornament?
