DIY Spring Bird Sign

I love when I get to incorporate one of my many napkin designs I have into my craft projects. The bird designs are some of my favorite to use too! I’m constantly on the lookout for wooden signs I can turn into something beautiful that will liven up any room, and adding these napkins I already have on hand makes it that much more fun! I hope you follow along with this DIY Spring Bird Sign, and make one too!

Supplies:

Dollar Tree Sign
Bird Napkin
Chipboard Clock Face- Dollar Tree
Burlap Ribbons
White Paint
Antique Wax

First, I removed the hanger from the wooden sign. I then painted the entire thing with the white paint.

Second, I opened the napkin and secured it to the center of the wooden sign using Mod Podge. I left a little extra space at the top of the sign.

Third, I removed the excess napkin from the edges of the sign. After that, I used Antique Wax around the the entire wooden sign as well as around the napkin edges.

Fourth, I cut a small length of the burlap ribbon and hot glued it across the top of the sign.

Fifth, I cut another piece of the burlap ribbon, making a bow with it. I then secured that with hot glue to the already glued down ribbon. I then reinserted the twine holder back through the holes.

Finally, I hot glued the Chipboard clock face I found at Dollar Tree to the bottom corner of the sign.

Here is the project all finished, how do you think it turned out? I couldn’t be happier with this craft project, it came out exactly like I envisioned it would! When I incorporate birds into my projects from the napkins, it never ceases to amaze me how well they turn out! I hope you loved following along with this DIY Spring Bird Sign project as much as I liked putting it together, and give one a try too!
