DIY Sunflower Pallet Sign

Crafting for Spring is always so much fun, being able to incorporate all kinds of flowers, bugs and cute little creatures. We all know how much I love using the mini pallets that you can find at Dollar Tree, so when I found a mini pallet sign I knew that I could make something super cute out of it. Not to mention being able to add my favorite flower made me even more excited for this project. Follow along with me for a DIY Sunflower Pallet Sign.

Supplies:

Pallet Sign- Dollar Tree

Sunflower Cut Out- Hobby Lobby

Scrapbook Paper

1/2 Wood Beads

Ribbon

Button

White & Yellow Paint

Hot Glue

We are going to start this project with some paint, grab your 1/2 beads and cover them with a coat of yellow paint, it could take a couple coats to fully cover. While your yellow paint is drying you can take your white paint and cover your mini pallet sign, again this could take a couple coats.

Next take your scrapbook paper, measure your paper out to the size of your mini pallet sign and then cut it out.

Take your piece of scrapbook paper that you cut out in the previous step and using your hot glue attach the paper to the mini pallet sign. Once attached cut in between the slats of the pallet.

Next clean up the scrapbook paper around the pallet so that you can see the slats of the pallet clearly. You can use a utility knife, scissors or an exacto knife for this, whichever you feel most comfortable with.

Once you have your scrapbook paper all cleaned up, grab your 1/2 wood beads and glue one to each corner. Next take your sunflower cut out and hot glue that to the center of the mini pallet.

Finally using your ribbon and button create a bow for the top corner of the pallet. This is attached using hot glue, I used an “X” bow for this step.

Once your bow is attached your project is finished. I absolutely love how this came out, it was simple and inexpensive. I’m super excited to add it to my Spring decorations. Do you think you will make a DIY Sunflower Pallet Sign?
