DIY Thrifted Candle Sconce Makeover

Some of my most favorite craft projects come from items I find at the thrift stores! I make sure I go check out what they have quite frequently to make sure I don’t miss any of the good finds! When I came across this old candle sconce I knew just what I wanted to make with it! I got it home and got to work! Follow along with this DIY Thrifted Candle Sconce Makeover, you will not be disappointed!

Supplies:

Thrifted Sconce
Chalk Paint
Dollar Tree Rub On Transfer

First, I gave the sconce a coating of the Chalk paint I chose to use.

Second, I lightly sanded all around the edges, giving it that aged, weathered look.

Third, I cut out the part of the Dollar Tree Rub On Transfer I wanted to use and taped it down to the sconce back.

Finally, I applied the transfer to the sconce surface. I then added a twisty candle to it.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I think this came out beautifully, and I’m so glad I decided to purchase the old sconce. When I can turn something ordinary, that someone no longer had a use for into something new and beautiful, it makes my day! This craft project will be a huge hit in my craft booth, I just wish I had found more of the old sconce so I could have made pairs! Wall decor always seems to do amazing in the booth, and this one will not be the exception! I hope you followed along with this super easy DIY Thrifted Candle Sconce Makeover and have decided you would like to try one too!
