DIY Thrifted Directional Horse

On one of my trips to thrift store I found this directional horse. I just love the shape of it and that it appears to be a homemade project. I knew it just needed a little love! I brought it home and gave it a make over! Follow along with my latest project, this DIY Thrifted Directional Horse. You will not be sorry you did!

Supplies:

Thrifted Horse
Stencils
White and Black Paint

First, I gave the horse a nice coating of Antique Wax.

Second, I painted the arrow with the Black paint.

Third, I painted over the Antique Wax covered horse with the White paint.

Fourth, I lightly sanded over the entire directional horse.

Fifth, I taped the stencil in place so the Antiques & Collectables portion was across the bottom of the horse. I then used the Black paint to stencil it on.

Sixth, I taped the Main Street portion of the stencil down at the top of the horse. I again used the black paint to stencil it on.

Finally, I used the Black paint to stencil on Open Daily underneath the Antiques & Collectables.

Here it is all finished, how do you think the final project turned out? I couldn’t be happier with the final project, I think it came out amazing! This project was so much fun to put together, and I can’t wait to hang it to display! Did you follow along with this DIY Thrifted Directional Horse? Will you be giving this one a shot too?
