DIY Thrifted Planter Makeover

As many of you who follow me know, I love to craft with items I find at the thrift stores. I always seem to find amazing items, that make great amazing craft projects come to life! There have been very few times, maybe enough to count on one hand that I have left the store without buying at least one thing. I found this planter on my last trip in, and had the perfect plan for it! Follow along with this DIY Thrifted Planter Makeover, you will not be disappointed!

Supplies:

Thrifted Planter
Tim Holtz Collage Paper
White Paint

First, I painted the face of the planter with the White paint.

Second, I gave the painted face a coating of Mod Podge.

Third, I laid out the collage paper, then placed it over the Mod Podge, smoothing it out.

Finally, I trimmed off all of the excess collage paper.

Here it is all finished, how do you like the finished project? I love how this turned out, it looks just how I wanted it too! I liked the look of the roughness, and how it was well used, so I decided to leave that be. If you found something similar you could make yours look how you like though. What do you think, will you be trying this DIY Thrifted Planter Makeover too?
