DIY Thrifted Rustic Rooster Upcycle
I love the thrift stores! There has never been a single time when I have went into a thrift store and not come out with at least one item I use in my crafts. More often then not I come out with many! You never know what items other people find to no longer be useful to them, that are perfect for craft projects. This DIY Thrifted Rustic Rooster Upcycle is my latest project using thrift store finds! I had a blast making it, follow along, let me know if you’ll be giving this a try too!
Supplies:
Thrifted Roosters
Chalk Paint
Antique Wax
First, I painted each of the roosters with a different color Chalk Paint. The first one I painted with Celery Chalk paint, and the second I painted with Vintage Chalk paint.
Second, I covered both of the roosters with the Antique Wax.
Finally, I wiped the excess wax off with a baby wipe or you can use a paper towel, leaving behind a light coating of the Antique Wax.
Here it is all finished, how do you think they turned out? I love them, they came out amazing. When I can take discarded items that have been sent to the thrift stores and bring them back to life, I get so much joy out of it!
