DIY Thrifted Sunflower Key Holder
Some of my favorite craft projects are crafted from items I find at the thrift store! I love taking pieces that no longer had a use in someones lives and turning it into my own creation! Often times I’ll give it a complete makeover while other times I just redo the item to spruce it up. When I found this mini shelf at my local thrift store during my last supplies run, I had an instant idea for it! Follow along with this DIY Thrifted Sunflower Key Holder, and see if you love it as much as I do!

Supplies:
Thrifted Mini Shelf
Thymeless Designs Sunflower Rub On Transfers

White Paint
2 Brass Cup Hooks
Antique Wax

First, I painted the entire mini shelf with the white paint.

Second, I placed the sunflower rub on transfer to the top section of the shelf, and transferred it in place.

Third, I used Antique Wax around all of the edges of the entire shelf.

Finally, I inserted the two brass cup hooks into the bottom of the shelf.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I love this project, it came out exactly like I thought it would, when I envisioned it at the thrift store. When I find items like this at the thrift stores that I can turn into something that’s more useful than it previously had been, I feel like I put the item to good use! This one would be perfect in any entryway! I can’t wait to get this DIY Thrifted Sunflower Key Holder into my craft booth on my next restocking run! What do you think, will you be trying to recreate this project for yourselves too?
