DIY Tinsel Ghost Makeover

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to make crafts for, and when I found this ghost at my local grocery store I just had to get him. I had so many different ideas of what I could do with him, and decided that this DIY Tinsel Ghost Makeover was my favorite! Follow along with this DIY, and decide for yourselves if you think it’s worth giving one a try!

Supplies:

Tinsel Ghost – My local grocery store
Chunky White Yarn – Hobby Lobby
Black Felt

First, I completely deconstructed the ghost.

Second, I wrapped the ghost frame completely with the chunky white yarn

Third, I traced the eyes, and mouth I removed from the original ghost onto black felt. I then removed the small white circles from the eyes to reuse.

Fourth, I glued the eyes and mouth onto the ghost.

Fifth, I cut a length of black and white ribbon, tied it into a bow and glued it to the ghost.

Finally, I glued a small bat pin to the center of the bow.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I absolutely love him, he is so much more ghost like in my opinion! The tinsel was great, but with the chunky yarn he’s so cloud like and soft! What do you think, which way do you like him better? Do you think you’ll give this DIY Tinsel Ghost Makeover a try too?
