DIY Vintage Christmas Rolling Pin

I love crafting using rolling pins, and would love to have an endless supply of them. We all know that’s not an option, so when I find them at the thrift stores, I scoop them up! I have so many different ideas that would be amazing using this, but I’ve had the idea for this DIY Vintage Christmas Rolling Pin for quite some time. When I found this one, I went home and got to work. follow along, I know you will not be disappointed!

Supplies:

Thrifted Rolling Pin
Christmas Napkin
Greenery
Ribbon
Rusty Bell
Antique Wax
Antique White Paint
Burgundy Paint

First, I painted the center of the rolling pin with the Antique White paint.

Second, I gave the pin a coating of Mod Podge, opened the Christmas napkin over it and smoothed it out. I then rolled it all the way around, connecting the two ends and cutting off the excess.

Third, I sanded off the excess napkin at the ends of the rolling pin.

Fourth, I used the Burgundy paint to paint the handles of the rolling pin.

Fifth, I gave the entire rolling pin a coating of the Antique Wax.

Sixth, I hot glued a piece of greenery to the top of one end of the rolling pin.

Finally, I cut a length of the ribbon, tied it into a bow and glued it to the base of the handle. I then glued the rusty bell to the center of the bow. I then tied a length of twine through the hole in the handle creating a hanger.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it came out? I think this is one of my more favorite holiday crafts so far this season! I love the vintage look with this piece and couldn’t be happier with the end result! This DIY Vintage Christmas Rolling Pin will be a huge success in my craft booth, I can feel it! When I make my next restocking run, this project will definitely be there! I hope you followed along and have decided that you’ll be making this too!
