DIY Vintage Style Rocking Horse
I love old rocking horses; they bring the nostalgia of my childhood out! When I came across this rocking horse from Homestead Crafter, I just had to get it! I had the best idea come to me when I saw it and couldn’t wait to get it and get started! Follow along with this DIY Vintage Style Rocking Horse, you will not be disappointed!
Supplies:
Wooden Rocking Horse – Homestead Crafter
Vintage Chalks Paint
Antique Wax
Twine
Rusty Cow Bell
Get your own rocking horse here: HOMESTEAD CRAFTER
First, I painted the horse or the rocking horse with the Vintage paint
Second, I coated the rocker of the rocking horse with the Antique Wax.
Third, I went around the edges of the horse with the Antique Wax.
Fourth, I cut a length of twine, and wrapped it around the horses neck a couple times. I then threaded the rusty cow bell onto the twine and tied it off.
Finally, I cut another small piece of twine, tied it into a small bow, and hot glued it to the twine around the horses neck.
Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I absolutely love the finished project, and can’t wait to put it up on display. This would even be a pretty nicknack in a Childs room! I remember seeing a full size Childs rocking horse that looked just like this in my friends little girls room years ago, and thought, I love that!
