DIY Vintage Style Santa Ornament

I’m back with more Christmas crafts! I absolutely love to craft for the holidays and Christmas is my favorite! I can’t get enough of making crafts for the Christmas season and seem to go overboard every year! But how could I not with the amount of different things that could be made with Christmas as the subject? I hope you enjoy this DIY Vintage Style Santa Ornament and give one a try for yourselves!

Round Wood Ornament- Dollar Tree
Brick Scrapbook Paper – Michaels
Santa Cut Out
White Paint
Tinsel Ribbon

First, I painted around the whole outside of the round wood ornament with white paint.

Second, I cut out the exact size of the wooden circle ornament from the brick scrapbook paper.

Third, I used Mod Podge to glue the scrapbook paper onto the wooden ornament.

Fourth, I used Mod Podge to attach the Santa cut out onto the center of the wooden ornament. I then poked through the cut out and and the scrapbook paper to open the top hole back up for the hanger.

Fifth, I used a piece of the tinsel ribbon to thread through the hole at the top of the ornament to create the hanger.

Finally, I cut a small piece of the ribbon and tied a piece of the tinsel ribbon around the center creating a bow. I then hot glued the bow at the top of the ornament.

Here it is all finished, what do you think of how it turned out? I’m really happy with how this turned out and can’t wait to hang it! I love to incorporate Santa into my Christmas crafts and this DIY Vintage Style Santa Ornament was the perfect place to put him! I’m really hoping you enjoyed this project and make one for yourselves too!
