Dollar Tree Bat Pillow

I recently headed over to my local Dollar Tree and stocked up on some supplies for Halloween craft projects. When I saw these bats, I knew I could definitely make something super cute with them! I didn’t really care for the tinsel on them, so I decided to take them a different route. Don’t get me wrong, I love tinsel on some projects just not on the bats, so I stripped them and saved the tinsel for future use. Follow along with this Dollar Tree Bat Pillow craft, I think you’ll love it!

Supplies:

Dollar Tree Bats x 2
Black Chunky Yarn

First, I stripped all of the tinsel from the bat, leaving just the plastic frame. I set aside the eyes to use later in the project. Tip–save the tinsel for future craft project use.

Second, I took the chunky yarn and wrapped it around the body of the bat.

Third, I wrapped the bat wings with the chunky yarn.

Finally, I glued on the eyes I saved from the deconstruction of the original bat.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I defiantly like it a whole lot better with the chunky yarn than with the tinsel on it. To me, bats are supposed to be creepy and scary! With the tinsel, they felt to fun, and playful to me. What do you think? Did you like them better with the tinsel, or with the yarn? I would love to hear your thoughts! Do you think you may give this Dollar Tree Bat Pillow a try?
