Dollar Tree has some of the best crafting supplies! It is so fun to see what new things they are putting out all the time. I ended up finding these little tags with the beads, so I grabbed a couple of them. Once I got home, I knew what I wanted to do with at least one of them. The other I am saving for Christmas or maybe Fall. Come follow along as I make this Dollar Tree Bee Hang Tag!

Supplies:

Dollar Tree Tag
Honeycomb Stencil – Hobby Lobby
Bee Stencil – Joann’s
Stamps – Dollar Tree & Amazon
Ribbons
Button
Black, Antique Gold
Black Ink Pad – Hobby Lobby

First, I took my stencil from Hobby Lobby and laid it on the tag, I tapped off the parts I didn’t want stenciled. The I took my Antique Gold paint and stenciled light in some areas and dark in others.

As you can see the light and dark shades here, gave it more of a two-toned look.

Second, once the honeycomb dried, I stenciled on the bee in the center with black paint.

Third, I grabbed my stamps and stamped a quote and flower to the top. When stamping on most projects you want an ink that won’t bleed. I use Staz-On and I got it at Hobby Lobby

Fourth, I painted the wooden beads to match the colors on the tag.

Next, I made a messy bow with ribbons that also matched the colors in the design. Thes bows are done by cutting 2 strips of each color ribbon, laying them in an X shape and tying off the center with twine.

Finally, I added a cute button to the center! All DONE!!

Here it is all finished! I think it turned out AMAZING! Bee decor is really starting to grow on me, I think its the bright colors, they are always so cheery looking!

Do you think you’ll make the Dollar Tree Bee Hang Tag or a version of your own?
