Dollar Tree Bunny Carrot Sign

I love when Spring time rolls around, it is such a blast to craft for this Season! There is so much new life and color in the Spring! When I found this bunny cutout and this oval sign at the Dollar Tree an idea came to me almost immediately of what I wanted to make with them. I knew I had an awesome carrot napkin in my collection at home that would work amazingly with the idea I had. I couldn’t wait to get home and get started on this Dollar Tree Bunny Carrot Sign. Hopefully you’ll follow along, and decide you love it as much as I loved creating it!

Rosette- Hobby Lobby
Spackle (for ear hole)
Mod Podge
White and Orange Paint

First, I drilled to small holes at the top of the oval sign, to be used for a hanger later.

Second, I filled in the hole in the bunny ear with spackle. I then painted the bunny as well as the oval sign with white paint.

Third, I opened up the carrot napkin and laid it over the oval sign. I then cut the oval shape from the napkin, securing it down with Mod Podge.

Fourth, I very carefully cut out two carrots from the napkin.

Fifth, I used Mod Podge to secure them to the bunnies ears, creating the inner ear.

Sixth, I cut a length of twine and secured it through the holes of the oval sign by knotting the ends.

Seventh, I used my blending tool https://amzn.to/47QG8pd to smudge orange paint around the bunny as well as the oval sign.

Eighth, I mixed orange paint with a bit of water to thin it out, and painted the rosette with it.

Ninth, I used hot glue to secure the rosette to the bunny as his tail.

Tenth, I made a bow with the orange and white ribbon, tying it off with a small piece of twine. I then hot glued it to the bunny neck.

Eleventh, I hot glued a large orange button to the center of the bow.

Finally, I glued the bunny to the center of the oval sign.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I absolutely love the colors, and how the carrot napkin ties the whole project together! This craft project is absolutely one of my favorites so far this Spring Season! I can’t wait to get this Dollar Tree Bunny Carrot Sign into my craft booth. So what do you think, will you be making one of these for yourselves?
