Dollar Tree Fall Busted Canvas
This is another one of my busted canvas projects I’ve put together recently! I absolutely love how they’ve turned out! I’ve done a couple of these, not a mini one yet and I’m so glad I did! I adore how they’ve turned out, and can’t wait to make the next one! Follow along with this Dollar Tree Fall Busted Canvas, you will not be disappointed!
Supplies:
Dollar Tree Canvas Mini
Scrapbook Paper & Cardstock
Fall Napkin
Dollar Tree Rub On Transfers
Antique Wax
Paints – Sage Green, Antique Gold and Antique White
First, I gave the stretched canvas a coat of the Antique White Paint. I then used Mod Podge to attach the Fall napkin to the canvas, I made sure it covered the edges as well. I then removed all the excess.
Second, I measured and cut a piece of cardstock and the scrapbook paper the same size as the canvas. I attached the scrapbook paper to the card-stock.
Third, I chose the rub on transfer I liked the best, and stuck it to the center of the cut piece of scrapbook paper.
Fourth, I added some of the Antique Wax to the napkin covered canvas.
Fifth, I cut through the canvas creating a star like design. I then folded all of the pieces back gluing them to the edges of the canvas.
Sixth, I glued the piece of cardstock to the back of the canvas.
Seventh, I used the Sage Green Paint and the Antique Gold Paint and alternated painted the folded over flaps of the canvas. I then added some of the Antique Wax to them.
Finally, I covered the easel with the Antique Wax.
Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I absolutely love these busted canvas’, and I’m kicking myself for not trying them sooner! They are so fun, and you can basically make anything with them! I can’t wait to get them into my craft booth, I think they’ll be a huge hit!
