Dollar Tree Ghost Canvas

I had grabbed this canvas on my last trip into Dollar Tree, after seeing a viral craft trend on the internet. This is my take on it. It’s so, so simple but came out amazing. I don’t usually follow to many viral trends I’ve seen, but this one seemed fun, so I decided to give it a try myself and couldn’t be happier I did. Come check out this Dollar Tree Ghost Canvas.

Supplies:

Dollar Tree Canvas
Spackling
Black and White Paint

First, I cut out a piece of cardboard into what I thought would be a ghost.

Second, I loaded up some of the spackle onto the tip of the cardboard.

Third, I started in the center of the canvas, and pulled the spackle down the canvas and doubled it up a second time in each row to make it look like a bunch of ghosts hovering in the center. I wasn’t super careful with how neat it was, which I thought made it look more authentic.

Fourth, after the ghosts dried. I dipped an old paintbrush into the White Paint and splattered it all over the canvas.

Finally, I used the end of my paint brush into the Black Paint and used it to dot eyes onto each ghost.

Here it is all finished, how do you like it? I’m definitely glad I tried it, since it came out so good. It was so simple to make with very little supplies needed. With the spackle the ghosts just seem to jump off the page at you! I can’t wait to display this craft. I’m thinking I’ll be keeping this one for myself! Do you think you’ll give this Dollar Tree Ghost Canvas a try?
