Dollar Tree Gingerbread Bowl

On my latest trip into my local Dollar Tree, I found this fish bowl that I had the perfect craft project in mind for! I also grabbed a beautiful hat ornament from Walmart last year, I knew it would be perfect for something in the future! Christmas is one of my favorite holidays to craft for, there are always so many different crafts that can be made. I’ve got so, so many ideas for projects for Christmas time and this Dollar Tree Gingerbread Bowl, is my latest! Come check it out!

Supplies:

Dollar Tree Fish Bowl
Hat Ornament
Glitter Paint – DecoArt
Paints- Chesnut, Black, Deep Burgundy, White

First, I painted the whole fish bowl with the Chestnut Paint.

Second, I used the White Paint to create a swirl circle around the side of the bowl.

Third, I used the Black, and Deep Burgundy paints to create the face.

Fourth, I used the White Paint to make dots in the eyes, and in the rosy cheeks. I also painted the white line down the edge of the eye.

Fifth, I dipped an old toothbrush into the White Paint and then splattered it all over the face.

Sixth, I glued the hat ornament to the top of the fish bowl.

Finally, I gave the entire fish bowl a coating of the Glitter Paint.

Here it is all finished, how do you like the end result? I couldn’t be happier with this project, I think it came out amazing! It always amazes me what you can create out of such simple items, such as a plain old fish bowl. I love to create projects from such simple items, and turn them into amazing DIY project! I’m hoping you also give this Dollar Tree Gingerbread Bowl a try too! I would love to see yours!
