Dollar Tree Honey Pot And Dipper
Spring time is one of my favorite seasons to craft for! I can’t wait till the stores come out with items that pertain to Spring each year! When I found this glass container at Dollar Tree I thought it would make the perfect honey pot. When I came across the wooden honey dipper later, I knew exactly what I wanted to make! I hope you enjoy this Dollar Tree Honey Pot And Dipper and make one of your own too!
Supplies:
Dollar Tree Glass Container
Wooden Honey Dipper
Bee Fabric
Bee Buttons
Twine
Paints – Yellow and Black
Hot Glue
Buffalo Check Ribbon
First, I used the yellow paint on the base of the glass jar, and also the dipper part of the honey dipper. I then used Antique Wax on the handle of the dipper. Finally, I painted to top to the glass container with black paint.
Second, I placed a large blob of hot glue onto the honey dipper. This will give the illusion of honey.
Third, once the hot glue dried I painted it with yellow paint.
Fourth, I cut a square out of the bee fabric.
Fifth, I used Mod Podge to secure the fabric square to the side of the jar.
Sixth, I hot glued a length of twine around the fabric square.
Seventh, I hot glued a bee button to the side of the honey dipper where I made the faux honey.
Eighth, I cut a length of the buffalo check ribbon and tied a bow around the handle of the dipper.
Finally, I cut a larger length of ribbon and tied a bow around the rim of the jar. I then hot glued another bee button to the center of the bow.
Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I think this is one of my favorite Spring time crafts of all time. This piece came out beautiful and I can’t wait to get it into my new craft booth. When I find these items that I can turn into something so beautiful, I seriously couldn’t be a happier crafter!
