Dollar Tree Nautical Sand Dollar Sign

When I found these sand dollars at my local Dollar Tree, I knew I had to make some sort of nautical craft with it. I grabbed those and a few other items and went home to brainstorm! What I finally decided to make after many different possibilities was this Dollar Tree Nautical Sand Dollar Sign! I really enjoyed making this project and I think it turned out amazing! Without a doubt this project was the right choice for me to make, and so I hope you follow along and decide to give one a go too!

Dollar Tree Frame
Nautical Napkin
Dollar Tree Sand Dollar
White and Teal Paint
1/2 Wood Beads
Tim Holtz Chipboard Quote
Mod Podge

First, I used the teal paint and painted the outer and inner parts of the frame. I then used the white paint and painted the inner beaded part of the frame.

Second, I opened up the nautical napkin and placed in onto the Mod Podge covered frame backing.

Third, I replaced the glass and the napkin covered backing into the frame.

Fourth, I glued the sand dollar to the center of the glass.

Fifth, I glued the Tim Holtz Clipboard Quote to the bottom, center of the frame.

Sixth, I painted the wood 1/2 beads with the white paint.

Finally, I glued the 1/2 beads to each of the frames’ corners.

Here it is all finished, how do you think it turned out? I love this project, It definitely throws off that nautical feel! When I find items at my local Dollar Tree that I can take home and use in my crafts to make something so beautiful, I truly couldn’t be happier! The finished project came out exactly as I envisioned it would, and I can’t wait to get it into my craft booth on my next trip in! I hope you enjoyed this Dollar Tree Nautical Sand Dollar Sign, and decide you want to have a go at making one for yourselves too!
