I love crafting with a Patriotic theme once the warm weather gets here. You can mix and match your decor with so many different holidays using the same theme, or just use them for the season. So when I saw the star scrapbook paper at Hobby Lobby I knew I could make something super cute. Follow along with me and learn how to make a Dollar Tree Patriotic Hanger.

Supplies:

Dollar Tree Home Circle

Star Scrapbook Paper- Hobby Lobby

Silver Tinsel Ribbon

Acrylic Paints: White & Red

White Glitter

Hot Glue

Mod Podge

I started this project off by painting 3/4s of the wooden circle with my red paint. This took a couple coats to cover. I also painted my home sign with the white paint and added some glitter. Once the paint was dry I attached the home sign to the wooden circle with hot glue.

Next I lined up my scrapbook paper to where I stopped painting on the front of my circle. I marked where I needed to cut with a pencil.

Once I had the scrapbook paper cut out, I used the Mod Podge to attach it to the top of the wooden circle where I didnt paint.

Now using a small bead of hot gule attach a piece of silver tinsel ribbon between your red paper and the scrapbook paper.

Next I added some white paint accents to the bottom of the wooden sign. This gave it a little more pop, and helps it stand out more.

Once the paint from my accents dried I replaced the hanger with some of the tinsel and that completed my project. This came out so cute. It’s going to look great hanging on my door for the Summer. Do you think you will make a Dollar Tree Patriotic Hanger?
